Skills include adult learning in non-traditional settings, written communications, presentations, training and technical assistance, collaborations, contracts, strategic plans, grant writing, policy creation, web content writing, and educational and media material development.
Adult learning, public health, health literacy, social justice, and health equity are passions of mine. I have developed and implemented education and training programs in community, workplace, conference, and higher education settings. I enjoy blending my public health and adult learning skills to help empower communities and professionals.
The areas of professional development, community learning, the patient-provider relationship, and policy and process development are of particular interest to me. This includes health literacy, shared decision making, team based care, and motivational interviewing within a patient centered environment.
