Dr. Bethany A. Thrasher is a passionate Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) prepared Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing Education, NLN-Certified Nurse Educator, Public Health Nurse certification, with a deep desire to reach the world through future and aspiring healthcare leaders in academic and community settings. Dr. Thrasher is an Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Science, College of Graduate Nursing, and CNI college as an NCLEX success coach. With a nursing career spanning various healthcare settings, Dr. Thrasher is passionate about serving the mental health community, women's health nursing, global and public health nursing.
Dr. Thrasher is a proud member of many professional organizations: the American Public Health Association, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, American Nurses Association, NursesBond, National League of Nursing, Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Honor Society of Nursing Phi Alpha Chapter, Western University of Health Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice Association, Community Activities Coordinator, and the California Sexual Assault Investigators Association, Lifetime Member.
Dr. Thrasher's recently completed a quality improvement project that focused on college students' mental health. Dr. Thrasher was driven to this work by professional and personal inspiration with several family members who grapple with mental health conditions, including herself. Her mission is to lead with compassion and inspire careers in community and public health nursing and mental health and wellness.
