This document provides a summary of a 2022 workshop hosted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Roundtable on Health Literacy. This workshop focused on how health literacy best practices might affect trust in public health institutions at the state, local, tribal, and federal levels, and how that trust in turn might positively affect health equity.
