This document provides a summary of a 2022 workshop hosted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Roundtable on Health Literacy. The workshop explored how using health literacy best practices in clinical settings might impact trust in health care institutions, and how that trust in turn might positively affect health equity.
