SeamlessMD, a digital patient engagement platform, is providing IHA members a free digital COVID-19 pre-op screening tool to help surgeons and surgery teams re-start surgery safely. For patients waiting for a surgery date: the tool automatically screens patients for their willingness to have surgery and COVID-19 risk factors (e.g. demographics, comorbidities, travel history). Surgery teams can access reports on patient readiness and risk factors to determine which patients are the best candidates for having surgery sooner. For patients with a booked surgery date: the tool screens patients daily for COVID-19 symptoms, flags patients who may be at-risk and provides patients with self-care education on COVID-19 and proper isolation protocols. Surgery teams can access reports to review COVID-19 risk levels and better determine if any surgeries need rescheduling. To learn more: seamless.md/restart-surgery
