Dear Colleagues,
My team and I are recruiting expert panelists for a Delphi study examining best practices for prompting Large Language Models (LLMs) for health information.
We recently completed a review that highlighted similar findings previously discussed on this thread: patients and the public increasingly turn to LLMs for health guidance, yet lack the prompting skills to elicit safe and accurate responses. This study aims to establish evidence and expertise-informed best prompting practices for health information seeking by laypersons.
We are seeking professionals across three areas, one of which includes experts in patient advocacy, health literacy, and patient education.
What participation involves:
• 2–3 online survey rounds, completed remotely on your own schedule
• Rate and refine proposed best practices, with a written rationale for input
• IRB approved
