This 2022 systematic review by Rebecca Anhang Price and colleagues looks at the evidence for strategies to enhance response rates and representativeness of patient experience surveys. It found that using more than one administration mode in sequence (such as a telephone survey followed by an online survey) is more effective than using a single mode (such as a telephone survey alone).
