The first National Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy (NAPIHL) was released 15 years ago with the goal to engage organizations, professionals, policymakers, communities, individuals, and families in a linked, multi-sector effort to improve health literacy. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is exploring the next iteration of the NAPIHL and has started to review recent literature and seek informal feedback from professionals, organizations, and communities to inform an updated plan. This session is an opportunity to help shape the national health literacy agenda. What can individuals, healthcare providers, and community organizations do to make an impact? How has the health literacy landscape evolved since 2010? Where can we make the most impact? Join us for this interactive roundtable discussion and help inform the next NAPIHL.
