Roundtable: Centering Community Voices: Building Trust + Collaboration with the Communities We Serve

Session summary: Being a health literate organization means including the communities we serve in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and resources. Putting this into practice doesn’t always feel straightforward.

Clear Language Lab has been working with our Community Voices group for almost 5 years. In this session, we’ll share what’s been successful for us and use that as a jumping off point for collective brainstorming and problem solving around community engagement.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify communities they can collaborate with

  • Advocate for establishing a community group at their organization

  • Employ at least one new strategy for building community collaboration
