This session presents a practical, multistage Bench-to-Systems Health Literacy Framework grounded in Kansas’s State Health Assessment and Healthy Kansans 2030 priorities. The framework spans workforce and systems change, including collaborative learning communities, health literacy and CLAS policy adoption, interactive training, employee translation funding pilots, on-demand interpreter services, and language assistance tools such as scripts and “I Speak” cards. Participants will learn how community health workers, statewide health literacy surveys, and an in-house medical interpreter pipeline were integrated to strengthen organizational health literacy.
