Improving Organizational Health Literacy: Having an Aid to Help Patients

Organizational health literacy is important for healthcare workers. I propose to have another health aid for patients to help narrate detailed information about any disease or health condition to the patients and answer questions. The reason is that the primary care providers often dont have much time, and patients are sent home with printed paper with related information. Many patients do not go through or do not understand that information, and it may hamper the treatment outcome. Other patients do internet searches with information that is not accurate. To fill this gap, organizations should provide aid to help improve patients' literacy.
