Poster abstract: In the last two decades, debates on the field of health Literacy (HL) have increased significantly.HL themes, models, strategies and intervention programmes have achieved substantial development in the US, and Europe. Although there have been some efforts to develop HL in Latin American and Caribbean (LAC), these seem to be few and scattered. In this paper we review and discuss developments of HL concepts, themes, models and interventions in LAC over the last two decades. We present a bibliometric analysis to gain a better understanding of the HL themes and strands currently being researched in the LAC region.
