MaineHealth’s Consent Standardization Initiative improves the informed consent process through recommendations of the Health Literacy Universal Precautions Toolkit, including plain language and teach-back. This presentation will share strategies and lessons learned while creating a patient-centered informed consent process that meets the needs of providers, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
