From Barriers to Bridges: Empowering Refugees in Healthcare Access

Refugees in South East Asia face immense obstacles in accessing and using healthcare. This poster aims to explore key barriers such as communication challenges, cultural differences, financial constraints, and system complexity. Drawing on the experience of the speaker in organising health education workshops and free clinics for refugee communities, it will also discuss a variety of practical strategies to empower participants to improve healthcare navigation and promote more equitable healthcare within their communities.
