Poster abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate food literacy of women incarcerated in a Brazilian prison. A questionnaire was applied for sociodemographic characterization and the Brazilian version of the Nutritional Literacy Scale - NLS-BR, containing 23 items. The content of the statements was analyzed by thematic blocks. Ninety participants were aged between 19 and 59 years old, most were brown (66.7%), less than 9 years of schooling (55.6%), heterosexual (63.3%) and most participants (83.3 %) showed an adequate level of food literacy. Little is investigated about the nutritional literacy of incarcerated women, and further studies are needed.
