Poster abstract: Personal health literacy including taking care of oneself was important during the COVID-19 pandemic, but little is known about the role culture played in self-care among Hispanic adults. The purpose of this retrospective research collected September-December 2022 was to explore self-care in English-speaking Hispanic adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixty-three participants responded to The Self-care During COVID-19 Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using in-vivo coding. Findings indicated the importance of family/friends, food/cooking, music/dancing and ten participants said culture did not play a role in self-care. Implications for personal health literacy will be provided to promote self-care during times of stress/emergency.
