Poster abstract: We report on pre-implementation assessment to identify facilitators and barriers to health literacy practice implementation in a pediatric ENT clinic. Stakeholders completed survey of acceptability, appropriateness, feasibility, conviction and confidence with health literacy practices (n=40) and interviews (n=9). Most reported little confidence in using teach back. Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research for deductive coding, facilitators included leadership engagement and relative advantage. Barriers were related to compatibility, learning climate, and readiness for implementation due to time constraints. We applied CFIR-ERIC Implementation Strategy Matching Tool to identify implementation strategies beyond our initial health literacy educational micro-lessons.
