More Than a Formula: Creating Actionable & Engaging Patient Education

When:  Nov 17, 2021 from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (PT)
Webinar Description:

"Health literate patient resources go beyond plain language and simple visuals to help people understand why and how, and to address concerns and barriers so patients can engage in their care.

Each topic presents its own challenges. However, online learning also makes it easy to go beyond static text and images and do an end run around literacy and reading grade levels.

We'll discuss how to design resources with patient input, thoughtful art, and ensure they meet patients’ needs so that people understand their participation is important, possible, and safe."

Objectives:

  • Consider how Jessie Gruman's Patient Engagement Framework can inform patient-centered design
  • Understand how to work with patients to create more engaging resources
  • Examine best practices to create inclusive, engaging visuals
